This bus was delivered in belgium in 1978 and was in pretty bad nick when we purchased it. Over the course of the years the bus had undergone many bad repairs which needed to be mended. Resulting in a lot of panel work that needed to be replaced. Also the roof structure, interior, tent canvas and roof lining were replaced to original spec. This makes the bus virtually as new.
A lot of effort has gone into getting the bus back to original spec. The original Berlin interior was preserved and refurbished but on the outside we have chosen Savannah beige paint over the Mexico beige which was on the car.
The bus has a new long stroke gearbox and strong 2000cc type4 engine which makes it better suitable for highway use because of the higher top speed. This results in fewer miles to the gallon however.
There are also some add-ons to the bus like usb charging points, auxillary battery, propex gas heater, large fresh watertank. This makes it the ideal camper for an adventurous getaway almost all year long.
